  1. TRANS-URBAN-EU-CHINA: Transition towards urban sustainability through socially integrative cities in the EU and in China
    (my participation period: 2019-2020)
    Involved in
    the section of “Planning and development instruments for inclusive planning in selected pilot Chinese cities (Urban Living Labs)”; participation in fieldwork and data analysis; graduate students training; chapter writing.

  2. Strategic Research Report on Spatial Optimization of New Urbanization and Development of Specialty Towns in Shandong Province, China (completed in December 2019)
    Fieldwork, data analysis, graduate students training, final report writing.

  3. Comprehensive Plan Update for Town of Schuyler Falls, NY (June 2017 - May 2019)
    Co-PI: Dr. Curt Gervich, Dr. Daniel Milz, Ms. Melissa Levy
    Comprehensive Plans to be drafted for important components. Community engagement and SEQR analysis are included; Research Reports with detailed findings alongside the plan crafting process; Recommendations and Revisions to local ordinances, regulations and codes.

  4. The Institutional and Urban Redesign of Gwadar City, Pakistan. Initial pilot study sponsored by International Growth Centre (IGC). January – July 2018.

  5. Transit-Oriented Urban Development Strategy for Shanghai (September 2014 to February 2015)
    Co-PIs: Dr. Douglas Webster, Dr. Jianming Cai, Dr. Larissa Muller

  6. Reconnecting and Revitalizing the Plattsburgh Amtrak Train Station Area, a contributing component to the ongoing efforts of Plattsburgh Downtown Revitalization Initiatives, with the following activities:
    Detailed survey of current land uses within 800 meters walking distance from the train station (including downtown); Development and Assessment of Redevelopment Potential Index (RPI) for each land parcel for the above study area.

  7. The Economic Opportunities and Employment Challenges in the North Country, with support from the North Country Workforce Development Board
    with student researchers: Alex Mercado, Lyndsie Danks
    Explores the current employment situation of the manufacturing industries in the North Country Region of upstate New York; Key informant interviews for data collection and statistical analysis; Review of other employment model internationally; Challenges for both the employers and employees are identified, and potential solutions are proposed for overcoming these hurdles and improve the efficiency in employment processes for the North Country

  8. Urban Transformation in Beijing Metropolis: Implications for Land Use Efficiency. (2011)
